This edition of Narrative features audio recorded live at the University of South Carolina Thomas Cooper Library, at a talk by South Carolina writer Ron Rash.
Ron Rash is the John Parris Distinguished Professor of Appalachian Studies at Western Carolina University and has published books of poetry, short stories, and novels, including One Foot in Eden, Serena, and The Risen. Recently, USC announced that the University Libraries has acquired Rash’s personal archive, which documents his lifelong journey to become a writer. A native of Chester, Rash’s poetry collection Eureka Mill captures the lives of a community in a cotton mill village in South Carolina.
